How to Stop Using VPN
After you're done accessing UCSF-restricted data, stop Virtual Private Network (VPN):
-
Double-click the VPN icon in the system tray:
A status window will appear.
-
Select the Disconnect button:
- The VPN icon disappears from the system tray, and your computer is no longer authorized to access UCSF-restricted resources. If you have a home network, you should now be able to access any home network resources, such as a shared folder or shared printer.
If you have trouble stopping VPN, restart your computer. If the problem happens consistently, see Resolve Problems with VPN.
