Username
The username for your new ITS e-mail account is your SAA User ID.
Email Address
Your new UCSF e-mail address will be in the following format: firstname.lastname@ucsf.edu.
Aliases
- Your ITSA address will be included as a permanent alias allowing
mail sent there to be delivered to your new account.
- You are not able to create additional aliases.
Getting Assistance
- Contact the ITS Customer Support Center at 415/514/4100, option #2
during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Set up e-mail forwarding
on your ITSA account
Important: Do NOT check:
Keep a copy in your mailbox (default no)
- Log in to Outlook Web Access (OWA) at https://exchange.ucsf.edu/exchange
To log in to your account:
- In the Username field, enter: campus\your SAA User ID (no spaces)
- In the Password field, enter: the password included in the email announcement from ITS Customer Support
For lost passwords contact the
ITS Customer Support Center

- Click the Log On button.
- Change your password:
From Outlook Web Access go to the
- Options menu and
- Send a test message to Start.Mail@ucsf.edu
letting us know that you have set up the forwarding on your ITSA account
and have successfully logged into your new UCSF e-mail account.
Moving Email out of WebMail
Moving Contacts out of Webmail
- ITS is provided a list of accounts scheduled for conversion
- ITS copies the webmail directory for scheduled accounts to a staging server
- Student logs on to ITSA account at http://itsa.ucsf.edu:8011
- Follow the platform specific instructions available on the ITSA
