Entourage 2008 - WSE Exchange Configuration
Before you begin:
Download the Entourage 2008 - WSE update from Microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads?pid=Mactopia_Office2008&fid=2E0C2E7D-EDD9-4FD4-A9B4-915A9DEF8410#viewer

- From the Entourage Menu Items, Select Account Settings...

Alternative path: Go to the Tools menu, and select the Accounts... menu option

Click on the add icon (the badge image) on the menu bar and select Exchange...

|
- In their respective fields in the Accounts dialog box:
-
Enter your Email address
-
Check the "My account is on an Exchange server" checkbox

Click the right-arrow button to continue

- It takes awhile, you will see a progress thermometer "Detecting Exchange Server"
| |
|

|
- When prompted enter
- Enter your Account ID (domain\logon)

Enter your Password
- Check the box to "Save password in my Mac OS keychain

Click the OK button

- You will receive an Automatic Configuration Succeeded message.

Click the right-arrow to continue

|

- On the Verify and Complete Settings page, verify your name and email address in the respective fields

Click the right-arrow to continue

Click the Verify my Settings button
| |
|

- Once verified, click the right-arrow to continue
| |
|

|
- Verify Account ID is entered in the form Domain\Username (for example SOM\Username or Campus\Username). This is not case sensitive.
- Verify Domain field is blank.

Click "Configure Account Manually" and verify the below 3 checkboxes are selected and settings are correct. Click the OK button when complete

Enter a meaningful name in the Account name field

Check the Add this new e-mail address to your "Me"contact box

Click the Finish button.

Close the Accounts preferences window

Congratulations!! You are ready to start using Entourage.
