UCSFwpa Script for Windows Vista

  1. Download UCSFwpa installer, right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

If Windows User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the computer, there will be a pop-up window requesting permission to configure UCSFwpa;

  1. Click Allow.

Once the installation is complete, a dialog box will appear to confirm a successful installation.

  1. Click OK.

If the installation is not successful, go to the UCSFwpa User Guide for Windows Vista for step-by-step configuration instructions.

The wireless network will immediately attempt to connect. A balloon will appear from the Task Bar area with the instructions to "Click here to select a certificate or other credentials for connection to the network UCSFwpa."

  1. Click in the balloon to bring up the logon screen.

  1. At the Logon Screen:
    • enter your MyAccess or mail@UCSF* username and password;
    • leave the Logon domain field blank;
    • click the OK button.

*Also known as an Active Directory (AD)/computer logon account.

  1. In the Set Network Location screen, choose Work.

  1. Click Continue.

  1. Congratulations! You are now connected to the UCSFwpa wireless network.
